Are these good video card and memory specs?

I'm thinking of buying a computer from my friend who doesn't use it. This is the video card and the memory it has

Dual 2GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon HD 5970 CrossfireX - video card



and 12GB DDR3 1600MHz (3x 4GB) Tri Channel Memory for memory

is this good? I'm paying 400 dollars for it, it's a desktop and it comes with a 20" monitor.|||That thing sounds amazing. That's a steal.|||Well of course it is. But I think he's winding you up mate.
