Whats a good video card that I can get and where can I get it?

I'm looking for a better video card for my Dell Dimension 9100. It has a 128mb video card right now, and nowadays that's not enough for games. It has Dual Pentium D 3.0 GHz Processors, 2 GB of RAM, and a 375 watt power supply.|||Your 9100 has a PCI-E x16 slot which means you can use PCI-E x16 video cards.

With the 375 power supply, your best options are:



1) Radeon 5670

Best all-around card for your computer, the only one around that price point with DX11 support. Uses less power than advertised- works great in 350W systems.



2) GeForce GT240

Good performer- it's the best card which only requires a 300W power supply.



You might also consider the energy saving/green editions of the GeForce 9800GT

These particular 9800GT models are shorter/smaller, only require 350W (they don't have a 6-pin power plug) and are clocked at 550Mhz. Those run about dead-even with the Radeon 5670, although they don't support DX11.



The standard 600Mhz 9800GT cards are faster but also larger. They have the PCI-E power connector and require a minimum of 400W, so you cannot use those (or anything better) without upgrading your power supply first.|||Luckily, your computer has 1 PCI Express X16 slot available, which is great for most modern day graphics cards. The only thing is that your power supply is low. These days, graphics cards require at least a 500W-600W power supply, so I'd definitely recommend buying a new one before installing a new graphics card. Corsair and Antec both make very good brands and I'd recommend buying these, and never a cheap power supply.



As far as video cards go, there are many out there. I can't recommend a single one, but the ATI Radeon 4000 series are great cards.
