Do I need to have a good video card for audio recording?

So my dad's setting up a studio in the garage, and he needs a computer to edit audio in and such.

I have an Apple Xserve G5 lying around with an external sound card and a pretty weak video card. It's only got I think about 32MB of memory on it. So I was wondering if it would affect his editing at all?

I mean it's not like he's going to be playing any games on it or anything. It's basically just 2D sound waves he's going to be looking at.|||well, I recommend a software called iOrgSoft 3GP Video Converter ,which is a versatile and easy to handle video converter. you need a good microphone.

and a good audio editing software , like Audacity or some DJ programs. etc.|||Should be fine.
