Which is the better video card?

I'm planning on buying a video card for my p4 processor

(32 bit). Which 1 would work better on my pc (graphicswise and qualitywise)? The PNY Verto GeForce 8600 GT 256MB PCI-Express , the PNY Verto GeForce 7600GS 512MB AGP card or the PNY Verto GeForce 8500 GT 512MB PCI-E card? Just to let u know, i run vista.|||1st off you listed 2 PCI-E & 1 AGP cards & your motherboard only supports 1 of them so you need to find out which you need. I would guess with your P4 its an AGP but you need to research it.

Of the cards you listed the 8600gt is the bestn with the 7600gs coming in 2nd & the 8500gt last. The 8500gt is not even a gaming card if thats why your upgrading to begin with. The 8600gt & 7600gs are only average at best as they are mid leval cards.

The 1st number is the generation series of the card & the 2nd number is a 1-9 scale of worst(1) to best (9). The gt, gs, gts ,gtx & ultra are also a worst to best scale based on the clock speed of the core & memory chips on the card.|||the 8600 one|||8600. The newest models are always better and beating older video cards in performance, regardless of the memory. The 8600 might also have ddr3 memory which is much better than the other 2 video card's memorys but I don't know. If you didn't know, Newegg.com has the cheapest prices.|||I think that u r only can run either PCI-E or AGP card. If ur mobo hv a pci-e slot, then the 8600GT is better. If u mobo only support agp, then u should go with 7600.
