Can i upgrade my computer with a better video card for flight simulatiom games?

Hey, i have a Dell optiflex GX260 and i am wondering is it possible to upgrade the video card? If yes please give suggestions. Thanks!|||Hi,

The majority of GX260 were shipped with an onboard Intel 845G based graphics card. If you want to upgrade from that, you are looking at an old AGP card. To be honest it will just depend on what you can get hold of but something like an ATI X1950 Pro or Gefoce 7800 GS is probably not going to be too far wrong. (The X1950 Pro is the better card, but the 7800 maybe easier to acquire.)

Thank you.|||That computer is outdated. The Max amount of RAM possible to be installed is 1GB which is very low by todays standards. It also has a very weak CPU. The fastest CPU that can be in there is a 2.0GHz one. Very slow by todays standards. I would recommend buying a whole new computer. It doesn't have to be BRAND new, but newer than the one you have. I would search eBay for a used or refurbished computer that has at least: 2.2GHz Dual core (or better), 2GB RAM (preferably better), a nice big HDD suited for your use, and a graphics card with at least 512MB of VIDEO memory. I'd recommend a Radeon HD 4650 if you have a computer with a PCIe x16 slot or a Radeon HD 4650 AGP if you have an AGP slot. If you have any more questions I'd sign up for the site "AfterDawn". It's free and it's a forum! So you can keep talking back and forth with the people!
