Whats a really good video card 145$ or less?

Something that will make gaming visuals so much more realistic compared to my ati radeon 4650|||The Radeon 4850 for about $100 has the best bang/buck, and is a huge leap up from your Radeon 4650. For reference, your 4650 has performance equivalent to a GeForce 9500GT.

The 4870 is faster, but requires at least a 500W power supply rated for a minimum of 32 amps on the combined +12V rails. It's unlikely your current computer power supply is that strong, so you'd have to add the price of a new psu. That brings your total closer to $190.

The 4850 runs fine on a 450w power supply with 24 amps on the +12V rails. If you've got a stock HP, Dell or Sony machine with a weak 300W power supply, then upgrading to a 4850 still fits your budget- $100 for the card and $40 for a power supply.

If you've currently got a 400W power supply, the low-energy consumption Radeon 4770 is a great choice that would work without having to replace it.

Nvidia's GTS 250 and GTX 260 have identical performance to the Radeon 4850 and 4870 but are priced about $30 higher, so those budget-busters weren't included in the dicussion.|||The HD4870 1GB can be gotten from Newegg.com for about $140 after mail-in rebates ($130 or less for 512MB). Here's a link to the search for the HD4870 in ascending price order:

I would recommend this one, personally:

It will toast your HD4650. The comparable nVidia cards in this price range don't outperform the HD4870, so ATI is your best option. You can also check out the HD5750, which is DX11 compatible but doesn't perform as well. I would say the 4870 is your best option, although for $170 after mail-in rebates you can also get an HD4890. Hope this helps, good luck!|||4870, you cant go wrong, its 150ish CANADIAN so it should be less for you (I assume your talking 145 USD :P, if I'm wrong my apologies, and you should have stated the currency xD)

I had a 4870 before upgrading to the 5870, and it was a SOLID card, ran crysis at 1680x1050 at max settings with no issues....|||hi.. check this out..
