Whats a good gaming video card?

i am looking to game on max seeting on the latest games so my question is what is a good video card to get? i been looking and seen some 570 overclocked and then 560 overclocked and idk what to get if i can get some advice i would really appreciate it :)|||If you have the money I'd go ahead and get a Radeon HD 6950 2GB and flash it to a 6970. It's easy to do, if you're not sure how to do it then there's multiple tutorials on YouTube/Google for you to find. And the best part is you pay for a Radeon HD 6950 which'll run exactly like a 6970. Also, I wouldn't worry about not being able to do it, so I'm told(I use a GTX 560 Ti) it's really easy to flash and even my grandma could do it! Hope that helped.|||How deep is your pocket? MaximumPC magazine keeps a Best-of-the-Best column. Here's their list...

Price No object: Asus GTX 590

>$300 XFX Radeon HD 6970

<$300 MSI NGTX560 Ti Twin Frozr OC

<$200 XFX Radeon HD 6870

Note that this is one video card per machine.

In November, they built a machine to drive a 30-inch display with games on Ultra. They did a lot of experimenting and ended up with 2 of the XFX Radeon HD 6970 in Crossfire configuration. They significantly outperformed the single GTX590.|||560 ti is the minimum you would need for max settings, if you want to future proof a bit, you should go with a 580 or 590, but you better have money to spend....|||ati radeon hd xfx 6970
