Overall what's a good video card?

So I ask some question about NVIDIA® GeForce® 8500GT most if not all were negative saying that it's the same as 7 series



I don't wanna spent alot of money (200+)



but I do want play xbox looks games

But not as good as crysis anymore



anyway

Overall

is NVIDIA® GeForce® 8500GT a DECENT card to plat games at all or at least run Photoshop fast?





Or will it be best to wait until the 8800 drops a few bucks or just buy a ATI 24000 series?

Last question what's a good 8800 maker since Nvidia just makes the GPUs|||a well rounded graphics cards is going to be a 8800gt, 8800gts, 9600gt, 9800gtx, HD 3850, HD 3870.



Anything less jest stay with your console if you want to enter the PC desktop gaming segment dont come in with anything less than what i stated.



Update: you could consider this a good graphics set up take 2 8600gts and SLI them thats a decent set up. the downfall is that the power of the two can easly eclipsed by 2 8800gt



Now i know you didnt want it but a Crysis level computer is going to have SLI/Tri SLI/Quad SLI/Crossfire/CrossfireX of the cards i listed above so if you get one and want to play Crysis then it would be easer to upgrade by dropping a new one in to get that extra power you need.|||you can get a nvidia 8600gt or a ati 2900xt. photoshop is not a video card program. photoshop uses the system cpu and memory.
