What's a good PCI or AGP low budget video card?

I have to buy a good video card for money on a low budget. AGP is prefered BUT PCI is ok (not express though).

Radeon or nvidia doesn't really matter.

I'm going to be playing a variety of games so i need a compatable 1.

Thanks,

Johnny_c506|||Check out www.newegg.com

they have great prices - with great reviews.

you can find a variety of great video cards at lower costs - depending on what you want.

I just saw an nvidia card on there I recommended to my sister in law for $270 - one capable of doing everything out there, while not being on the high end of $1,000+

Depending on what you want it for you can get some video cards there pretty cheap (under $100)

If you have questions let me know what you plan to do, and I can tell you some minimum specs you should look for.|||I'm happy with my PCI Radeon 9250. It's cheap and it's been ok so far. Only problem is it's not supported for Battlefield 2.

About $60 on newegg.com|||Try sapphire ATI X1600 pro 512 AGP.Is the best buy if you are not willing to pay more than 200$.( I think it cost something like 150$).

Check it at ati site|||Check whats available on the CLEARANCE page on ATI's website....They usually have some VERY GOOD AGP deals.|||These guys above me are right. For AGP, nothing beats an X1600 Pro. I've got this exact card in my Athlon 64 system, and it will play any game out right now, including FEAR, really well: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… As a matter of fact, here's what it will do in FEAR @1152x864 resolution, with 2x AA and 4x AF: http://img221.imageshack.us/my.php?image…

edit: Oh, did I mention that it's about 4x as fast as a 6200, and about 20% faster than a PCI-E 6600GT?|||Currently pencilled for my budget PC building project is the

Leadtek GeForce 6200 Turbo Cache 256MB DDR TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) for £28.14 from http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/6…

However, if it's AGP you want...... there's this version:

Leadtek GeForce 6200 128MB DDR TV-Out/DVI (AGP) for £38.72

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/N…|||video games are for the wealthy nowadays. today, there are video cards made only for the agp or pci express slots. so your stuck with agp. look around for deals and wait for sales.|||Assuming your motherboard is compatible with AGP 4X/8X cards here are a couple choices for different budgets.

The eVGA 256-A8-N341-L2 with a Geforce 6200 LE for $45.99 after rebate from newegg.

For roughly 2 -3 times the price of the 6200, any of the reputable brand cards with the ATI X1600 Pro. There is a good comparison of cards in this price range at:
