will a better video card help me if I dont play games ? Is it better to upgrade RAM than video card ?|||You answered your own question. Unless you play video games there is not a lot of advantages to an expensive video card.
On the other hand upgrading your RAM can improve computer performance and make the system more stable.
BEFORE you just go out and buy more ram find the website of the computer maker and see what kind of ram and how much you can install sometimes there is a limit as to how much you can install. If you are running windows 98 or older software you will not gain anything by using more than 512 MB. Hope this helps, Roy.|||It depends on how you gonna use your PC/Laptop. Prioritize upgrading your RAM than Video Card. If you're not into Games or Graphics or Movie, then choose RAM upgrade.|||If your computer is running slow, Upgrade the Ram for sure.
You only need to upgrade your Graphic card when you are doing any Graphic Editing or 3D Games.
Their are some graphic card that enhance your computer.
It's Called GPU. It helps your CPU and Ram run alot better.|||buddy it is not about your video card or any other peripheral on your pc actually if you only use you pc for typing or other stuff like playing songs the even 128mb can already maybe the problem is on your system or your Windows actually i'll give you a tip a god computer start with this specs'
Processor - must be atleast 600MHz up to above 2.8GHz (better)
Memory - must be at least 128MB if your using windows 98 but if Windows XP atleast must be 256MB up to above...
Video Card Memory - must 16MB lowest but some even 4MB can it doesn't matter how high or low as long as you know where you going to use if you're playing your 3D games must be 32MB above and it must be an AGP Card and not only how big is you memory for the video you must check what kind it is ("compatibility") if your using built-in video card the it will deduct your memory to use for the video card so better in this situation you add addtional capacity for memory if only in this case....
the rest Hard disk (it doesn't matter its just a storage after all)
Power supply only matter if you have so many Harddisk and CDromsinstalled on your computer actually no one will use so many things in a computer unless your doing Video Editing....
